Final Fantasy 7 PC Controls

The Final Fantasy 7 PC default controls are in my opinion slightly lacking. You can either choose to play via a USB Game Controller or just use the keyboard controls. For those of you who have played this on the Playstation, you may find it slightly difficult to play using the keyboard and it may take some getting used to. Below are the ff7 default keyboard controls as well as my own custom setup of the controls, which some of you may find easier to use.

To change the Final Fantasy 7 PC game controls from their default assignments you need to access the in-game menu and navigate to config or alternatively, you can edit the ff7inputcfg file which is located in your game directory.

Note that when you first load Final Fantasy 7 PC and start a new game, you can only use the default controls to navigate through the Main menu and a bit of the game before you can actually access the menu to change them. As with setting up your USB Controller, you will have to set it up manually and is dependant on what controller you have, so you will probably have to calibrate it via the drivers/software provided with the Game Controller itself.
